The new range from Iris Slappendel’s cycling apparel brand
Hands up if you know what ‘viridescence’ is? Don’t worry, we didn’t either. Apparently it’s the process of becoming green—like when new leaves take on that bright green hue when summer is in full swing. To be honest, it’s maybe not the first word that springs to mind when you think about winter cycling gear, but that’s exactly why it’s the name of the new collection of highly-wearable bike-garb from IRIS.
While the outdoor world turns to that mulchy colour that sits somewhere between grey and brown and the lure of a night slumped in front of the television becomes stronger, this is clever, colourful clothing for those who keep the wheels spinning right through the winter.
